Yesterday, Ski Lines had around 600 wishlists on Steam.
Today, we're past 5,000.
Yep. Five thousand.
I'm not entirely sure what just happened. ๐
So... Matt happened.
I've been following Real Civil Engineer for years, so seeing Matt play my little indie game was already a dream come true.
But I definitely underestimated the power of the community of the bearded.
Thousands of you showed up, tried the demo, wishlisted the game, left comments, reported bugs, and generally made my weekend a lot more chaotic than expected.
Turns out making the main character a triangle was a pretty solid decision.
Strongest shape, after all. ๐บ
Seriously, thank you. โค๏ธ
A huge thank you to Matt for playing the game, for the kind words, the laughs, and the genuinely helpful feedback.
And to everyone who discovered Ski Lines through his video: welcome aboard!
I'm just one guy making a little game about managing ski resorts, and seeing so many people enjoying it is honestly a bit overwhelming. In the best possible way.
A quick note: Matt was playing an older version of the game. Quite a few things have changed since then, and there's still plenty more to improve. I've been reading your feedback, and it's already giving me a lot to work on.
Oh, and I may have hidden a tiny construction helmet somewhere in every map, just for Matt. ๐ท
Back to work!
The release is getting closer, my to-do list somehow keeps growing, and I suddenly have a few thousand more people to disappoint with my questionable game design decisions.
No pressure. ๐ฌ
If you haven't played yet, the free demo is available on Steam.
Thanks again, everyone. This really means a lot.
I was expecting a few more wishlists this weekend.
Not an avalanche. ๐๏ธ
